**The Role**
Due to our continued success here at Fortem, we are delighted to confirm that we are currently seeking two Roofer's to join our branch in Birmingham, on a full-time basis.

**The Project**
The role involves carrying out predominantly reactive maintenance, repairing and renewing sections on a wide variety of different roof types, (residential and communal), i.e. Slate tile repairs, flat roof / torch on repairs & general roof maintenance. You will also repair and renew guttering, work on scaffolds and carry out scaffold inspections.

You will ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision, carry out fault diagnosis and communicating additional works required back to your Supervisor/Line Managers to ensure all follow-on works have been captured, leaving the resident assured. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters. You will also operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.

**Essential and Desirable Criteria**

Essential Criteria:

- PASMA trained and experience of carrying out scaffold inspections (training will be provided if you do not have this)
- Good knowledge of H&S and working at height
- Certificate or NVQ in Roofing, or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills
- Honest and trustworthy
- Keen problem solver
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Respect and value other’s ideas
- Takes ownership

Desirable Criteria:

- Past experience in a Responsive Repairs role
