**Summary**
Inspire and transform learning with us. We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN at Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred.
**About Us**
We are a 3 form entry primary school from Reception to Year 6, which also includes a 52 place Nursery. Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred (HPACH) is a successful academy that was judged outstanding in every category in our October 2018 Ofsted inspection.
We are a sister school to Harris Primary Academy Mayflower and work together closely along with the other Academies in the Harris Federation. **Main Areas of Responsibility**
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your primary areas of responsibility will include:
- Complementing the professional work of teachers and SENCO and taking responsibility for agreed activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on students’ achievement, progress and development
- Under an agreed system of supervision, taking a lead role within the academy to address the needs of students who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning
- Supporting students, the teacher and the academy in order to raise standards of achievement for all children, including those with SEN, by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes
**Qualifications & Experience**
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Experience working with children of relevant age
- Experience of working with children with additional needs
- Experience of delivering literacy, reading, writing and maths activities
- Evidence of fulfilling the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards and/or the ability and potential to fulfil them within the first six months of the role.
- Relevant qualifications that help demonstrate evidence towards the above
- Excellent numeracy/literacy skills - equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths
- Relevant qualifications at A level or equivalent to at least NQF Level 3
- Evidence of specialism in specific curriculum areas or areas of particular learning difficulty
