Bench Technician
Term: Full Time 8.00am -4.00pm)
Remuneration: From £14.00Phr.
Our client makes Cable-forms, Populates P.C.B.'s and builds electronic and mechanical assemblies and systems.

**Responsibilities**:
To carry out mechanical assembly and construction of simple and sophisticated products and systems, which may involve drilling, tapping, filling, sawing, and fastening, along with any other duties considered relevant to the above.
To build custom and bespoke cable assemblies, wiring looms and harnesses.
Identifying, wiring, terminating, and mounting electronic components.
To test products to customers' schedules, drawings, samples, and/or procedures and to record and log results.
To fill in a daily timesheet, keep a record of time taken for each Job, and make notes and instructions to aid future build and development of customer products.
Essential:
The successful applicant must have experience in an electronic or mechanical assembly environment.
Read circuit diagrams, wiring schedules, and follow written procedures.
Build simple, and complex cable assemblies and wiring looms using various sleeves, heat shrink, braids, conduits, glands, and other cable accessories.
Know how to solder and crimp to a high standard and understand the differences between a good and bad solder joint and crimp termination.
Know how to identify, prepare, terminate, and bring together wires, cables, and electronic components to build precision mechanisms and assemblies.
Good knowledge of engineering materials and their properties and familiarisation of different fastener types, glues, sealants and modern manufacturing techniques, methods and processes are also required.
Familiar with working with hand tools and bench-mounted machinery.
Have some basic understanding of machine drawings, symbols, and tolerances.
Have good literacy skills and be familiar with working from CAD drawings, Build and Test procedures, whilst completing in-house & customer documentation.
