Laundry Assistant

**Job Purpose**

To provide the highest standard of laundry service to residents and staff within the Home, ensuring that both linen and clothing are clean and presentable.

**Principal Accountabilities and Activities**
- To be responsible for the standard of cleanliness of all linen in the Home.
- To provide a laundry service to residents of their own personal clothing (washable).
- To maintain all linen and clothing and repair as needed - i.e. buttons, seams, zips, etc.
- Advise the Senior Housekeeper when replacement linen is required and maintain stocks for day to day use, ensuring supplies are available at all times.
- To be familiar with laundry equipment and carry out daily maintenance. Report any problems with machines to the Senior Housekeeper.
- To assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment.
- Duty to whistleblow if witness bad practice or harm to a resident within the home

**Qualifications, Training and Experience**
- Ability to organise workload.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, remaining courteous at all times.
- Neat appearance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
