Believe and Achieve seeks talented, experienced English tutors.

We are looking for tutors with experience in teaching English, Maths and the national curriculum KS2 and KS3, and also tutors with junior IB experience. Tutoring will take place in the Hampstead borough and other locations in North West London, North London, West London and Central London.

We help both struggling and gifted students reach their full potential by supplementing the instruction they receive in class and guiding them toward study practices and aides that can help them excel. We are looking for compassionate and talented tutors to work with individual students on a one-to-one basis, and/or some group activities for students studying the same material.

**TUTOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Travel to students' homes, or other agreed public location, to conduct tutoring sessions
- Schedule tutoring appointments with students or their parents in accordance with enrolment arrangement
- Research or recommend textbooks, software, equipment or other learning materials to complement tutoring.
- Prepeare lesson plans or learning modules for tutoring sessions according to students' needs and goals.
- Develop and prepare teaching or training materials, such as handouts, study materials, or quizzes appropriate for each individual tutoring session.
- Monitor and continually assess student performance during tutoring sessions.
- Provide homework as required.
- Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
- Maintain records of students' progress and complete session reports after each class
- Communicate with parents/guardians about trouble areas or any other issue that requires attention
- Collaborate with teachers if required

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:

- Experience in tutoring preferred but not essential
- Ability to obtain a clear, enhanced DBS check
- An appreciation of how students learn and study skills required
- The ability and willingness to promote the learning of students through face-to-face, online, or tuition in small groups as required
- The ability to work with students from diverse education and cultural backgrounds
- The ability to work with physical disability and special educational needs where required
- An organised and systematic approach to work
- Excellent commuication skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract
Part-time hours: 1-20 per week

**Salary**: £28.00-£32.00 per hour
