- A 6-month secondment opportunity for a Fleet Co-ordinator has arisen in the Fleet department. The post holder will be part of a small team providing support to a busy workshop; Wiltshire Police has a fleet of around 470 vehicles that cover more than 7 million miles each year and operate 24/7.

The post holder is responsible for the admin/stores team and provides back-office support to the workshop.

Duties will include.

First line supervision of 2 members of staff - Fleet stores person and Workshop receptionist.
- Management of the fuel process, ordering fuel and fuel cards, having oversight of deliveries, and maintaining fuel levels for all police sites.
- Assisting the Head of Fleet with new vehicle ordering, taking receipt of new vehicles, inputting new vehicles onto the fleet management database, and registering new vehicles.
- Responsibility of managing the sold vehicle process, sale of vehicles and updating the vehicle database accordingly.
- Produce reports for the Head of Fleet and Head of Finance using the fuel and vehicle databases.
- Responsible for the fleet management system including updating and routinely QC auditing.
- Responsible for ensuring that all Wiltshire Police vehicles are taxed and liaise with the DVLA to reflect this.

The Post holder should have sound communication and administration skills. Experience of working in a garage environment would be an advantage but not essential. Training will be provided on fuel system tasks and the fleet management system.
