Heath Business and Technical Park is home to over 120 business' and their 1500+ employees. SOG Resources Ltd owns and manages the Park providing office and laboratory space, filming location and facility management services. The park comprises 50,000 sq ft of office buildings, science laboratories, communal public events and catering space, conferencing, sports areas and gardens.

The job role therefore is a unique customer facing, manual handling and guardian type role delivering a caretaker and safeguarding service to SOG Resources Limited and its residents. Part of a team ensuring 24 hour, 7 days a week coverage of the site and the people who visit or work there, by monitoring, being reactive, identifying and responding to any health and safety, janitorial, housekeeping, maintenance or unauthorised access issues. There may be occasions when this role will be lone working for periods on the usual team shift rota, covering nights, days and weekends.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring the site, its assets and dealing with any trespassers/unauthorised access.
- Complete basic repair and maintenance tasks as instructed, such as hanging of noticeboards, signs, etc.
- Identify and resolve any housekeeping, cleaning duties around the site, such as cleaning spillages/leaks, incident areas, manual lifting and clearing/tidying of office space as instructed.
- Respond to the Heath Business and Technical parks customers and their employees in any aspects of safety.
- To be on a team rota for call out to any out of hours incidents requiring an SOG Resources employee presence. Also be flexible to cover holidays and absence in the team.
- Be the professional helpful face of SOG Resources so that first-class front of house customer service is available to all residents and visitors of the Heath Business and Technical Park.
- In the absence of the Security and Logistics Manager, be the point of call for emergencies, liaison with emergency services, etc. Also carry out CCTV surveillance and patrols, being the key contact for onsite residents.
- To ensure main gates to site are secure and controlled to incoming/outgoing residents and visitors outside core hours and manage the general opening and closing of the site. Respond to any access control systems showing risk to boundaries, buildings and equipment.
- To respond to local fire alarms, any lift entrapment and be fully aware of emergency procedures.
- Follow estate management routines, being familiar with, managing, isolating, setting/resetting alarm panels across the site.
- To work to site operations instructions and procedures explained during training.
- Be reactive to onsite calls from management team regarding Health and Safety incidents requiring support.
- Work flexibility when required e.g., to provide assistance in holiday/sickness cover for colleagues.
- You will be required to attend emergency out of hours call out should it occur, within 45 mins.
- Undertake appropriate training courses which are identified as essential to your role.
- Driving company vehicle on occasions
- Have experience of basic DIY skills,
- Experience of working on own initiative/lone working responsibility,
- Be able to work flexibly on day and night shifts 7 days a week on a rota basis and be a team player covering colleagues on time off,
- Be physically able/mobile around the site completing manual lifting/handling activities,
- Have customer facing experience,
- Live within 45 minutes of the Heath Business Park due to the requirement to respond to emergency call outs if on call.
- Full clean UK Driving licence preferred but not essential
- Working as part of a team, typical hours of work would be an average of 36 hours per week on a rotating team shift rota, working 12 hour night and day shifts covering 7 days a week. The team rota is planned ahead so you will know your shift days in and off, in advance. However some variation may be required if there are holidays or other absence in the team which will be notified at the earliest. Additional rate paid if a usual shift falls on a UK public/bank holiday._
