We are collaborating with our plastics fabrication client near Manchester, in their search for an Extrusion Setter Supervisor. You will take collective responsibility of the production team, and will have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

**Responsibilities**
- Set up and adjust Extrusion machines and associated auxiliary equipment according to established procedures to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with tooling and machines and make effective repairs or adjustments as necessary to ensure production goals are met.
- Perform tool changes when necessary and preform basic maintenance activities to prevent production downtime and ensure product quality.
- Ensure that production runs are completed on schedule and that products meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of products throughout the production process, performing in-process inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary for all lines during production run.
- Train and supervise production personnel to ensure that they understand and comply with established procedures and protocols and operate efficiently to achieve the production plan.
- Train and oversee production personnel to ensure that they are competent and safe in the use of extrusion equipment.
- Ensure all training records for production staff are completed and kept up to date.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date production records are maintained, including production schedules, machine maintenance logs, and quality control reports and carry out a shift handover.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe and clean productive work environment.
- Allocate operators to the machine / job ensuring they are competent and trained or undergoing training.
- Producing production figures, verifying that count is correct, scrap is accounted for, and recorded.
- Ensure workspaces are kept to a good level of house keeping and ensure logs are recorded.
- To be able preform new job trials.

**Requirements/Knowledge**
- In-depth knowledge of the extrusion processes, including tool changes, basic machine maintenance, and troubleshooting faults and technical issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and supervise production personnel to ensure high-quality and efficient production.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with quality control procedures, including in-process inspections and corrective actions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and to meet production deadlines.
- Strong commitment to health and safety protocols, with a proven track record of promoting a safe and productive work environment.

**Hours**

Monday to Thursday only (no Fridays/weekends).

6:00 AM - 18:00 PM

18:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay: £36,441.00-£40,000.00 per year
