The North Essex Community Mental Health Services are seeking individuals who are committed and eager for a career in healthcare.

Are you passionate about healthcare and helping people work towards their goals? This apprenticeship program in nursing might be perfect for you. In this role, you will provide person-cantered care, focusing on promoting health and independence for patients in the community under the guidance of Registered Nurses. You will be working towards achieving aLevel 5 Associate Nurse Foundation Degree with NMC Registration

Your responsibilities will be varied - from maintaining patient dignity to providing leadership and mentoring your peers. You will participate in planning and delivering care and support as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Learning about laws like the Mental Capacity Act & Mental Health Act, and participating in mandatory training will be part of your journey. You'll also get to enhance your practice through regular clinical supervision and education.

As an apprentice, you will need to have good record-keeping skills, as well as be a clear and effective communicator. You'll be computer literate and have to learn how to use electronic communication and record systems.
- Be responsible for delivering high quality, person centred, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered nurse with a focus on promoting health and independence
- Providing person centred care and working within the recovery model approach enabling patients to work towards their goals within their care plans.
- The post holder is responsible for reporting regularly to the Team Lead or other qualified staff, working both under supervision and on their own, reporting any relevant changes in the patient’s condition and environment.
- The post holder is responsible for undertaking assigned tasks that involve providing direct patient care in the community. Patients, relatives, carers and other staff will find the post holder flexible, approachable and with a helpful disposition.
- The responsibility of the post holder is to participate in the planning and delivery of individual care and support provided by the multi-disciplinary team
- They will work independently under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, providing holistic evidenced based high quality care and support to people in the community patients and will be professionally accountable for their actions.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

ROLE SUMMARY
