**The role**

LTF Recruitment wish to appoint an experienced SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in the DE3. You will support vulnerable students across a wide age range, who attend the SEN school having experienced social, emotional, or personal difficulties in the mainstream setting. This role will be instrumental in helping these students to overcome their barriers to learning and encourage them to engage in learning to become more effective learners, and to improve their academic and pastoral progress. You will plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals and small groups under the direction of the teaching staff. You will add your knowledge and experience to the ever-developing schemes of work, adding value to the learning experience daily. Demonstrating impact, you will monitor, assess, and report student attainment and progress.

**Key skills and experience required.**
- A minimum of 12 months experience of working in a school environment.
- Level 4 HLTA desirable (experienced Teaching Assistants encouraged to apply).
- Good numeracy and Literacy Skills.
- Ability to work well with children, young adults and identified key groups.
- Work constructively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate resilience working with children with challenging needs.
