Painter/decorator

**Summary**
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Painter will be responsible for conducting skilled Painting & Decorating both commercial and domestic properties ensuring a high level of service to clients. Completing job sheets and equipment or tool maintenance will also be an essential function of the role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Painting and Decorating of properties to a high standard including walls, ceilings, woodworks and outdoor areas
- . Such as lifting and moving of furniture, stationery, loading and unloading of painting equipment.
- Prep work on walls before painting, to prepare the surfaces using sanding, filling and patch Plastering where needed
- Ensuring that they are leaving properties in a clean state, trying not to leave excess paint on floors, carpets, surfaces ect by using decorating sheets.
- Knowledge of how to work at heights when needed and only with the correct equipment
- Use job app to complete allocated work and complete job sheets
- May be required to work alone at certain sites.
- Some aspects of general maintenance when needed. For example changing door handles, light bulbs, smoke alarms ect.
- Repair, service and maintenance of equipment used to undertake the above activities
- Attending site visits prior to jobs and helping the office when quoting new jobs by liaising with the clients to understanding their needs. Using knowledge to estimate how long jobs may take and how much consumables needed.
- Take quality before & after photos of work
**Essential Skills Required**:
- Previous Painting & Decorating experience
- Ability to risk assess jobs and required safe ways of working
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Ability to deal with situations and clients requests promptly and accurately
- Must be hardworking, self-motivated, reliable and trustworthy
- Must have a “Can - Do” attitude
- Full Driving Licence (preferred)
**Salary**: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
