This global, forward-thinking consumer brand, committed to using their business as a force for good, is looking for a mature, confident and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their finance department. You will focus on managing accounts receivables and credit control functions, including managing the transactions with key high profile retail accounts such as Tesco, John Lewis, Waitrose, and Amazon.

You will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience, ideally within a consumer/wholesale brand environment, and possess knowledge of VAT and international exports, an AAT qualification would be ideal. You will also be a team player, highly organised, and able to handle data and customer requirements across different systems.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Effectively manage the company's accounts receivables by overseeing sales invoice management through EDI and customer portals.
- Take charge of credit control by issuing monthly customer statements, letters, and communicating via phone calls with clients.
- Handle the processing of debit notes received, obtain necessary approvals, and process credit notes.
- Collaborate with the customer service team, account managers, and agents/sales representatives to address potential issues and manage debit notes.
- Keep records of credit control notes and report monthly to the manager.
- Prepare monthly commission statements for sales agents and representatives in the UK, Europe, and the USA.
- Analyse credit notes and accounts receivables on a monthly basis.
- Process payments made through cheque/BACS/card payments, as well as process card payments and refunds in multiple currencies (GBP, EUR, USD).
- Provide support to the team during holidays, busy periods, and projects.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in accounts receivables and credit control
- AAT qualification would be ideal
- Knowledge of VAT and international exports (FOB/Ex-works/DDP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proactive problem solver with a 'can do' attitude
- Flexible and comfortable adapting to change

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
