Interflex Group have a vacancy for a Print Assistant in our Dalkeith Branch. This is a 3 shift position

06.00am - 14.00pm Monday to Thursday - 06.00am - 12.30pm Friday

14.00pm - 22.00pm Monday to Thursday - 12.30pm - 17.30pm Friday

22.00pm - 06.00am Sunday to Thursday

**Role Summary**

The primary role of a Print Assistant is to assist the lead printer competently and efficiently in production of printed material. Key responsibilities include maximizing productivity, minimizing downtime and waste, and help to ensure goods are produced to a high standard of quality, compliant with the customer’s specification.

**Key Activities and Responsibilities**

**Responsibilities**:

- The Printer Assistant will be responsible for ensuring next job to press is ready.
- The Printer Assistant will always be responsible for keeping their working area as clean and tidy as possible.
- Any relevant paperwork must be filled in accurately, i.e. plate stripping log, reel reject forms, return to stock labels
- The Printer Assistant will be responsible for cleaning, stripping, and packaging plates
- The Printer Assistant is responsible for ensuring weekly and monthly cleaning schedules are completed and signed, internal audit sheet is of pass standard
- The Printer Assistant is responsible for ensuring the washroom is maintained and cleaned to an acceptable standard
- The Printer Assistant is responsible for ensuring all PPE is worn correctly
- All health & safety and hygiene company policies must always be adhered to
- Any other duties required by a line manager to be carried out

Ensure all work activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s:
Health, safety management system and statutory legislation
ISO 14001 certification and statutory environmental legislation
British Retail Consortium / Royal Society for Public Health accreditation
American Institute of Bakers accreditation
Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping throughout shift and complete cleaning schedules/documentation in areas of designated responsibility

**Key Results Areas/Outputs**

Safe and efficient assistance on machinery to achieve optimum run speeds and required productivity/waste targets
Adherence to the scheduled production program
Comprehensive shift handovers: work flow remains constant

- Converting Operators
- Lamination Operators
- Warehouse Operatives

**Experience**
- Previous experience of working within the Print industry is ideal but not essential
- Experience of working with a Manufacturing, FMCG or Production sector preferable

**Salary**: £13.37 per hour
