Provide a high quality of specialist advice and training in relation to safer people moving and handling and ergonomics

Develop education and training packages to all groups and levels of staff across the Trust. This will include mandatory and non -mandatory training provision. When required provide bespoke specialised training sessions / onsite training sessions to specific staff groups showing flexibility in approach based on assessment of need

Monitor, evaluate and review current training content and arrangements, assisting with review and development of education programmes making improvements when necessary to keep programmes relevant.

The Moving and Handling Ergonomics Team is looking for a Moving and Handling Trainer to help facilitate Moving and Handling training and advice Trust wide.
- Organise, facilitate and evaluate regular manual handling training sessions at an appropriate level for Walsall Healthcare staff
- Develop education and training packages to all groups and levels of staff across the Trust. This will include mandatory and non -mandatory training provision. When required provide bespoke specialised training sessions / onsite training sessions to specific staff groups showing flexibility in approach based on assessment of need
- Monitor, evaluate and review current training content and arrangements, assisting with review and development of education programmes making improvements when necessary to keep programmes relevant.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of accurate records of all manual handling courses, providing information to the Learning and Development department as required.
- Maintain Instructor status where achieved and keep professionally updated to maintain an in depth knowledge and manual handling skills
- Maintain competence in all areas in which post holder has responsibility for providing training
- Assess staff abilities during all education sessions, and make recommendations for safer manual handling practice.
