Hours: 35 hours per week (10 am to 5 pm), Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat & Sun. Seasonal.

**JOB OVERVIEW**

Fantastic opportunity to work with Sea Trust in Fishguard. We are a charity dedicated to marine wildlife conservation. We are look for a friendly aquarium host with great communication skills and knowledge of marine wildlife. The role will involve giving guided tours of our small aquarium, front desk work and aquarium maintenance. It does involve working at weekends and bank holidays. The applicant must be capable of using initiative and be outgoing. You must also be practical, happy to work outdoors and be willing to get your hands dirty i.e. aquarium maintenance.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY TASKS**

Initially the duties of the Aquarium Host will be:

- Guided tours of the aquarium for members of the public
- Front of house, taking bookings, responding to general enquiries
- Aquarium maintenance and development
- Environmental education activities with school and colleges
- General cleaning and admin duties

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**
- Good knowledge of British marine life
- You'll have experience working in a customer facing environment
- Friendly and hardworking
- Excellent communication skills
- Fun, dynamic, and friendly personality
- Experience working with children
- Available to work weekends and bank holidays
- Ideally have experience in maintaining aquaria (not essential)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
