This is a Canterbury based Group role reporting the FD of an established multi million pound business.

With a background in manufacturing or construction, you will be responsible for managing and driving a team to procure goods across a multi-site environment, ensuring a professional and consistent approach, providing best practice support for purchasing,tendering, sourcing and cost reduction.

The person with demonstrate a strong business acumen, commercially focused with the ability to negotiate across a wide range of high value equipment. Self-motivated, innovative with exceptional communication skills and a confident leadership style.
- Degree and MCIPS qualified ideally
- Solid procurement experience gained at senior level across different industry sectors including manufacturing or construction.
- Detailed understanding and wide experience of Indirect Procurement categories including Utilities (especially Electricity and Water), Fuel, Capital Equipment, Engineering, Mobile Plant, Consumables, site Services, Transport/Fleet Vehicles.
- Purchasing in a technical or engineering based environment.
- Use of suite of KPI's to set and monitor delivery of functional objectives.
- Developing and implementing supply strategies for key commodities.
- Strong IT, report writing skills. Advanced spreadsheet skills and comfortable presenting ideas and business cases to the senior management team.
