Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with an established manufacturing and distribution business in the Bradford are who have an immediate need for a HSE Manager on an FTC basis.
This role will have multi-site responsibility and will be responsible for driving a positive HSE culture, ensuring compliance and adherence to policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Provide advice to management on the prevention of accidents, environmental incidents and the practical implementation of the company's HSE policies
- Advise on the development of safe operational risk assessments and procedures
- Review and document all HSE processes
- Manage and maintain systems for the company's health surveillance, drugs and alcohol testing and training
- Undertake active monitoring of company operations ensuring compliance with IMS
- Ensure energy conservation throughout the company to achieve annual reductions
- Liaise with Government Departments and other third parties if/as required
- Proactively work with operational teams and managers on the development and implementation of strategies for improvement to ensure HSE is considered at all stages
- Create an environment for change through personal commitment and drive, motivate others by demonstrating a 'can do' attitude, effective communication, team building and continuous learning
- Deliver HSE awareness training to functional teams as required
- Analyse incident and environmental data to identify practical solutions to improve performance and drive forward improvements across the company
- Co-ordination of quality, H&S and environmental management system processes and internal auditing for all HSE related areas
- Review, develop and ensure implementation of Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems, procedures and policies
- Site inspections, audits, training, advice and support to all contracts
- Follow up and where possible ensure that all actions / non compliances resulting from the audits are completed
- Undertake all forms of risk assessments as and when required within the business
- Follow up and where possible complete all actions or improvements resulting from the above risk assessments
I'm keen to speak to individuals with the following skillset:

- Previous experience in a similar role covering multi-site environments with warehousing and transport
- Experience of remote working locations, including working from home arrangements, would be a significant advantage
- A NEBOSH Diploma/ NVQ L5 in OHAS or equivalent
- In depth knowledge of ISO9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS and ISO 45001 and integrated management systems
