**Finance Graduate (Fixed-Term 12 Months), Abergavenny Headquarters - Robert Price Builders Merchants Ltd**

The role is a fixed-term position for 12-months and will be based at our headquarters in Abergavenny.

This is a great opportunity for a recent finance graduate to gain on-the-job experience and support from an experienced and knowledgeable finance team.

**What is a builders’ merchant?**

A builders’ merchant is a company which supplies materials to the construction sector.

Up to 85% of the built environment you see around you is supplied by Britain’s builders’ merchants. Merchants and the supply chain are crucial to the construction industry which contributes over £40 billion to the UK economy each year. A career in this essential commercial sector can be challenging, varied and rewarding.

**Hours**:
40 hours per week average to be worked from Monday - Friday, between the hours 7:30am - 4:30pm.

**Pay**:
Negotiable according to experience.

**Duties**:

- Assisting preparation of financial reports.
- Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial data management tools.
- Willingness to learn the relevant systems within the business.
- Compliance with statutory regulations.
- VAT returns.
- Ensuring the branches are operating efficiently and complying with procedures required.

**Essential skills**:

- Strong numeracy skills.
- Be committed to serving the Company

**Desirable**:
Finance or maths degree.
