**An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to be an integral part of our excellent Occupational Therapy service in Peterborough, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist able to work 1-2 days per week. One based in our Clinic in Peterborough and one community based.**

If successful you will be working with children and young people in a number of settings, completing assessments and intervention for a wide variety of conditions. You will be an integral part of our innovative and supportive paediatric team, working closely with Occupational Therapy colleagues and other professionals.

**Your responsibilities**
- Assess children's speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Diagnose communication disorders and determine their severity.
- Create individualised treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide therapy sessions to address speech and language goals.
- Educate parents on supporting their child's communication development.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the child's care.

To be eligible for consideration, it is essential that you have a degree in speech and language therapy approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Paediatric experience is also essential.

**Where you will be working**

**Location**:Thorney Road, Eye, Peterborough, PE6 7UN and one day community based appointments.

You will be working at Bursting with Potential, which is a small independent therapy service with good facilities, covering the Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Lincolnshire areas. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, intervention and support for children and young people 0-25 with SEND and their families. At times our clients may be experiencing mental health difficulties or behaviours that challenge. The role includes travelling to community appointments and schools and requires a driver with use of a car.

**Other requirements**:

- Knowledge of keeping children safe and relevant safeguarding legislation.

Part time role - job share considered. (16 hours across 2 days. Flexibility can be discussed)

Salary is competitive and will be based on experience and hours worked.
