NC Associates are working with a global manufacturing and distribution organisation based in South Leeds to assist in recruiting an experienced Assistant National Account Managerwith a degree (non specific) to work alongside / within the National AccountsTeam.This role will report to the National Account Managerandwill have hybrid working options from home. As a Assistant National Account Manageryou will manage your own B2B client accounts and have full autonomy whilst working to move into full NationalAccount Manager role.

The responsibilities of the National Account Manager role will include, but are not limited to:

- Manage relationships with ongoing clients and support the National Account Manager and the Senior National Account Manager on managing the Top 2 Accounts.
- Work effectively to gain trust with clients to ensure ongoing volume purchases from the company.
- Support with admin and reports so the business can develop and deploy detailed plans to increase sales and profits.
- Attend meetings with the National Account Manager and the Senior National Account Manager and share notes / data with the team
- Develop to progress in managing your own Key Account portfolio.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business customers to ensure long-term success.
- Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients requirements are met.
- Ensure brand consistency through actively working within requirements.
- Liaise closely with the internal Marketing team and external marketing agencies to ensure any trading activity is supported and the brand gains maximum exposure across all media.
- Support National Account Manager and the Senior National Account Manager in meetings which includes taking meeting minutes to share with the team.
- Support National Account Manager and the Senior National Account Manager on internal and external weekly reports such as Trackers / Account performance updates etc.
- Collect and review sales data and trends - providing National Account Manager and the Senior National Account Manager and Project Managers with any reports or updates on trend data.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards.
- Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Product departments in set up and launch of new
- models/platforms/categories with Accounts, this includes supporting with the completion of new accounts and new lines order forms.
- Ensure New Product data such as New Line Forms / Images / Product Videos / Customer Videos are provided to Accounts aligned to product launch schedules.
- Stay up-to-date with external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales.
- Closely manage any aged stock & obsolete opportunities.
- Conducting monthly updates to Accruals and processing Account Debit Notes/claims aligned to business deadlines.
- Working with the National Account Manager and the Senior National Account Manager on accurate forecasting and ensuring that Sales Plan and PSI are updated aligned to lead-time.
- Supporting on Account Range Review and Quarterly Business Review Meetings - this would include presenting on Account performance, supporting in ordering the correct samples, arranging the venue, taking meeting notes.
- Supporting on Retailer Events, work with the Marketing Department Project Lead for training information for the external promotions team.
- Accurate and timely administration.
- Day to day contact for both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all ad hoc queries are resolved. Cover Account Management role during Sales Managers annual leave.
- To be an effective member of the team, seeking to drive for continuous improvement and sharing best practice.

Requirements of the National Account Manager:

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business is preferable however open to other Degree qualifications too.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a sales environment.
- Able to demonstrate good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Able to demonstrate excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain relationships at all levels within the business and our customer base.
- Excellent PC skills with good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Team player yet able to work alone unsupervised.
- Results focused attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to exceed sales and profitability targets.
- Ability to deal with pressure and work to deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
