Help us make a difference as a **Multi Skilled Operator **at our MRF plant in **Derby.**

Days of work: Monday to Friday

Start and finish time: 7am - 4pm

42.5 hours per week average

**A quick look at the role.**

Communicate any problems or obstacles to immediate supervisor, Strive to reduce waste and increase productivity across all lines & Support your shift colleagues in achieving excellence in health and safety, product quality, asset performance and employee engagement on shift.
- Loading lorries with DMR dry mixed recycling
- Picking out non recycling material (full training will be given)
- Backing lorries in and out the building
- Training on other mobile plant will be given
- All P.P.E Provided
- Keep machines and tour area of work tidy

Within **Resources & Energy** we focus on the treatment, recycling and disposal of waste. It provides a number of treatment services for those materials that can be recovered and landfill disposal for those that are not suitable for recycling or energy recover.

- Responsible for your own Health & Safety you also have a duty of care for all employees working on your shift. Ensure housekeeping and general cleanliness of the plant and equipment is maintained to a high standard. Follow company policy on wearing PPE at all times
- Receive training on machinery and carry out operator duties by ensuring machines are operated for optimum performance and availability. Ensure machine TPM’s are completed safely and correctly
- Participate in near miss and hazard reporting, and receive Tool Box Talks and other required operational and health and safety training to assist Biffa Polymers achieve excellence in health and safety as well as meeting business KPI’s
- Follow company rules for break entitlement, ensuring the smoking policy is followed throughout the shift, and ensure no mobile phones or portable listening devices are used in plant areas
