Job description

**Assistant Caretaker / Design & Technology Technician**

**24.5 hours per week - Required as soon as possible**

**Work hours: Monday, Wednesday 11.00 am - 9.00 pm**

**Tuesday 3.30 pm - 9.00 pm**

- Self motivation and the ability to take the initiative to deal with problems as they arise
- Excellent practical skills and a pride in their work
- Excellent skills in working with both adults and children
- An awareness and understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Excellent organisational skills
- A flexible approach to working hours
- Preparation of materials in wood and metal
- Health & Safety checks of machinery
- Stock taking and stock control
- To attend as required, the opening and closing of the premises at designated times and be responsible for general security at all times
- School caretakers may be called out during unsociable hours or at weekends to deal with security problems, and allow access for emergency repairs
