We are advertising on behalf of our client a highly regarded distribution business for a Trainee Buyer, to join their busy team
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00 (35hrs a week)
OVERALL PURPOSE To train in the buying dept taking responsibility for a small category under the supervision of an experienced trading manager.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing a small product category o Product range selection o Supplier negotiations including annual joint business plans o Building a promotion plan to fulfil customer shopping needs and maximise sales opportunities. o National Promotions o Local Promotions o Cost file maintenance
- Work with the Trading Manager on Category Reviews - ensure that all paperwork is received correctly from suppliers. Chase where necessary.
