Our Turning Point Scotland Services in South Ayrshire are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.
**Because People Matter**
Turning Point Scotland is a national social care charity providing services to people with addictions, learning disabilities, mental health issues, those in the criminal justice system and those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
**Turning Point Scotland Ayr Supported Living and Transition Services**
Turning Point Scotland Ayr’s Supported Living Service works in partnership with South Ayrshire Council to deliver services to people who have Learning Disabilities or on the Autistic Spectrum to live in and maintain their own tenancies. We have been successfully supporting adults in the South Ayrshire area since 2004. Each individual has a committed staff team who work together to deliver a bespoke person centred package of support to meet the person’s day to day needs with a focus on achieving agreed outcomes.
Since 2014 we have also been successfully working in partnership with South Ayrshire Council supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and individuals on the Autistic Spectrum in transition, from leaving school into community supports. Support is individually tailored to meet the person’s specific needs. Supports are community based where people are supported to become active members of their community through accessing local resources, building on skills, maintaining and developing friendships and employment opportunities and working towards agreed outcomes.
We receive referral from people who use Self Directed Support and are familiar with processes involved in financing support via Individual service funds (ISF) and Direct Payments.
**Turning Point Scotland Ayr Viewpoint Service**
Turning Point Scotland’s Ayr Viewpoint service is a community based social opportunities service covering South Ayrshire. This service is funded by South Ayrshire Council and has been running since 2001.
The service offers support to people with Learning Disabilities and individuals on the Autistic spectrum, to access activities in their local community, support to maintain employment, develop skills and maintain friendships by attending community based groups.
We tailor the services to meet the needs of the people we support and work on agreed outcomes to support the development of independence, confidence and self resilience.

We offer support with personal care and skills for daily living, accessing educational or leisure facilities and social opportunities.
We also provide comprehensive person centred supports to people with Huntington’s disease.
All supports and interventions are tailored to meet the needs of the individual using person centred processes that involve people who know the person well, including family and friends, other professionals and staff members.
The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.
As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
