This location also has a strong R&D focus and is home to our Formulated Product Development teams, our Application Development Centre, and our Laboratory and Testing team. As well as innovation these R&D functions also work closely with our Technical Support Team and in turn our Customer Support and Sales functions ensuring that that our customers’ needs are our priority.
With circa 110 employees some Group Support functions also reside in Newport and remotely across the UK. Our Composite Structural Engineering team are also based in Newport, directly supporting customer innovation in multiple market segments.

**Purpose of the Department Function**
- The Quality Team plays an important role in supporting the sites objectives by evaluating of all products to detailed specifications and encouraging continual Improvement in all processes

**Description of the Role**
- The Quality Controller evaluates and tests incoming raw materials, receiving and documenting all data from certificates of analysis, prior to storage.
Finished goods are released to Good stock, by the Quality Controller, upon gaining successful “in process” or “end of line” Quality Check results.
The Quality Controller creates certificates of analysis documentation for Customers

**Key Responsibilities**
- To evaluate production products for conformance to documented specifications
- To carry out testing in accordance with documented work instructions
- To work to a very high standard with no compromise to Quality
- To record manually and electronically all relevant results
- To maintain a clean and organised work environment
- To raise reports when requested
- To assist in test failure investigations
- To support production and play a proactive role in achieving plant objectives

**Skills and Experience**
- Proven understanding of ISO systems and processes.
Demonstrable exposure to working with Microsoft Windows and Office Tools
Lean or Six Sigma Yellow Belt (advantageous)
Working within Quality departments in a relevant manufacturing environment is advantageous
