Gym Assistant

We are looking for a Dynamic Gym Assistant to join our team.
- **Please note this is a gym assistant position not a personal trainer position, although there is a potential to build a client base, this would be separate to any contracted hours and not form part of this contract.**_

**Hours**:
Working in the fitness industry is not a 9-5 job Monday to Friday job, _However _if love fitness and the industry ,then this position could be for you

Working on spilt two week rota basis. Week one, a basic hours of 28 per week, week two a basic of 35 hours. Working on a two week shift pattern, of morning mornings and early afternoon into evening. (The shift pattern is same days per week on both weeks) with the addition of Saturday / Sunday on a rota basis on week two.

Overtime is available in addition to standard hours, of which could be any shift pattern. With advance notice shift schedules could change twice per year to meet business requirements.

**Qualifications**:
Ideally educated to a minimum level 2 NVQ in Exercise & fitness including gym based training or equivalent governing body.
- **Full training could be provided to someone with sufficient interest in fitness with a committed attitude and strong work ethic

**Person**:

- An extremely self motivated role_ ,we require someone who is **proactive and able to work well on their own initiative.** We are looking a people person with a outgoing bright and bubbly personality ,in this very customer facing role.

Someone who can easily communicate with others, a self starter who is able to think outside of the box, willing to undertake any task, (which will include cleaning the equipment).

You will need to be computer literate, although training will be given on our own bespoke system and have a basic knowledge of maths and be used to cash handling.

On occasion you will be required to cover additional shifts for holidays(with notice ) and sickness making flexibility paramount. As there are early morning starts 7.00am and late evening 9.00pm your own transport is advisable.

Two trial shift are carried out as part of our recruitment process, these are un paid and form p[arm of the assessment for suitability, details and times will be provided at interview stage. Previous unsuccessful applicants need not re apply.
