**ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSISTANT**

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our friendly, experienced finance team.

**THE POST**

This is a permanent, part-time role within a busy finance team providing support for all financial management, accounting, reporting and administration for our 3 venues.Working 20 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the Purchase Ledger and will report to the Finance Manager.

**Base**

Your regular base will be The Lemon Tree; however you may be required to work across all Aberdeen Performing Arts venues and sites.

**JOB PURPOSE**

To ensure the effective and efficient running of the Account Payable ledger.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Financial**
- Accurate input and operation of the Purchase Ledger system, including
- ensuring the timely input of supplier invoices,
- prompt authorisation by departmental managers
- payment within supplier terms.
- Maintenance of supplier records
- Input and maintenance of Purchase Orders.
- Housekeeping of open Purchase Orders
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Processing of Income Recognition journals.
- Dealing with supplier queries promptly.
- Provide support and cover in the weekly supplier payment run.
- Regularly reviewing and housekeeping of Aged Creditors & GRNI Reports
- Reconcile all Credit Card receipts on a regular basis.
- Assist in the coordination of data collection across the organisation as required by the Finance Team.
- Provide any administrative support as directed by the Finance Manager.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have experience working in a finance or accounts payable, with working knowledge/experience of Microsoft Excel and ideally Sage Intacct or other accounting system. You'll have good numeracy and communication skills, be detail oriented, with a helpful, positive approach, and enjoy working independently and as part of a team.
