Payroll Apprentice

Join our busy payroll team as an apprentice and achieve a Level 3 qualification over 18 months. You’ll be supported by our experienced in house team as well as your online tutor.
This is a full time role, based in the office 5 days per week.
**Your Role**
Your role will be varied and you will experience all aspects of payroll including but not limited to; legislative framework, pensions, tax, national insurance, statutory payments and deductions, benefits in kind and gender pay reporting.
Your day to day:
- Support for Payroll & Pensions Manager and Senior Payroll Officer.
- Monthly timesheet preparation and input of overtime.
- Pension packs and annual benefit statements.
- Retirement packs.
- Pension files.
- Childcare Voucher Scheme.
- Monthly/Annual National Statistics.
- Maintain up to date and accurate employee files.
- Responsible for P46 car returns and P11D database.
- Production and issuing of annual P11Ds in preparation for submission to HMRC.
**About You**
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Curious mindset with ability to act on initiative.
- Problem solving with ability to challenge.
- Effective prioritisation.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficiency in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, and MS Office skills.
- Achieved minimum grade ‘4’ or ‘C’ at GCSE English and Maths (essential).
