**Full time permanent role**

Our Client is seeking a HR Officer to join their team in Swanley.As HR Officer, you will be responsible for providing generalist HR support to the HR Manager. In this role you will be providing support to help with recruitment, induction, absence, and healthissues, conduct capability, grievance matters and implementing organisational change.

**Key Responsibilities as HR Officer**
- Sorting the contact mailbox daily
- Updating the staff absence data in line with the staff absence and sickness policy
- Acknowledge and reply to staff absences
- Print individual absence report to complete return to work meetings and ensure all details of sickness and absence are included onto management information system
- Communicate with the HR Manager regarding outcomes of staff sickness/absences highlighting trigger
- Examining forms for agency, contractors to be verified

**Recruitment**
- To deliver induction packs to new starters, as well as staff ID badge, login details and access to online learning.
- Plan all job adverts with the support of the HR Manager
- Place job adverts and job descriptions in the staff room and to the reception team

**Payroll**:

- To guarantee all extra claim forms are added onto the payroll portal
- To guarantee all sickness and absence data is added onto the payroll portal including annual leave & on MIS.
- To communicate with payroll concerning any salary queries and more
- To support with pensions queries

**Training**:

- To observe mandatory staff training such as safeguarding, safer recruitment, health and safety & autism awareness
- Organise minibus training for staff as and when required
- Guarantee certificates of training are issued to staff

**Administration**
- Assisting in minute taking
- To guarantee the workforce census is completed on an annual basis
- Maintain archive system of files

**Health & Safety**:

- Prompt staff of our counselling and health cash plan on offer as and when required
- Request occupational health referrals as requested by HR manager
- Support outcome of referral with the HR Manager
- General and other duties

**Key Requirements**:

- Must have at least 2 years HR experience
- Previous experience within a school is preferred
- A CIPD Level 3 qualification (or higher)
- Excellent understanding of common HR practices and policies
- Knowledge of positive company culture, equality, diversity, and inclusion within an organisation
- Experience in a similar HR role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple work streams
- IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint and Teams
- Experience of using MIS
- Able to develop effective cross functional working relationships
