**Workshop Foreman**

**Responsible To**: Depot Manager

**Depot Location**: Sheffield

**Hours**: 08.00 - 17.00, Monday - Friday. Overtime as and when required.
- As with all roles at CRH Plant, reasonable flexibility is a requirement of the role._

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring workshop administration work is completed, signed off and filed in a timely manner
- Ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times
- Processing customer damage/loss notifications
- Cost control
- Co-ordinating a team of maintenance fitters to ensure assets are maintained as per our internal procedures.
- Servicing and preventative maintenance of plant assets.
- Assistance with technical fault finding in both hydraulic and electrical fields.
- Passing on technical knowledge to other members of staff. Including training.
- Working closely with apprentices whilst carrying out repairs.

**Role Requirements**:

- Good communicator
- Previous leadership experience is desirable although consideration will be given to somebody with the right aptitude
- Previous experience in construction plant maintenance is essential including hydraulics and electrics
- NVQ Level 3 plant maintenance qualification is desirable, but applicants whom are time served will be equally considered.
- Familiarisation with compaction equipment -though machine specific training will be provided
- CSCS card holder - though the company will provide this if required
- Flexibility to work with other members of staff including apprentices
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office
- Full UK driving licence
