Stable Hand

Responsibilities:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stable area
- Assist with feeding and watering horses
- Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving hay bales and bags of feed
- Provide basic care for horses, including grooming and bathing
- Assist with exercising horses, including lunging and turnout
- Perform basic math calculations for feed measurements and medication dosages
- Use hand tools to repair fences, gates, and other stable equipment
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain farm equipment
- Irrigate and maintain the stable's garden area
- Operate power tools for various maintenance tasks
- Assist with equipment repair as needed

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with animals, particularly horses, is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with basic math calculations for feed measurements and medication dosages is beneficial
- Experience using hand tools for fence repair and other maintenance tasks is a plus
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance is desirable
