Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a highly reputable and well-established manufacturing business in Rotherham, that are looking for further considerable growth via acquisition over the coming months. Due to some internal movement,they currently have a need for a newly qualified (Late part qualified) accountant to join the team.
As the Management Account you will support the Finance Director in all areas of financial management, including; Monthly Management Accounts, stock reconciliation, VAT as well as some project accounting. You will also be responsible for the management of 2accounts staff in the team.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Lead in the period end close and preparation of management accounts:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform variance analysis to target (Budget, Forecast, Flash)
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to the business in order to drive strong cost control
- Performing monthly expenses cost analysis for department heads
- Assist in the monthly stock takes along with the Factory Manager to ensure all stock is counted every 6 months
- Production of accurate and timely weekly cash receipts and payments forecast for all currencies
- Monthly updating of long term cash flow and balance sheet model
- Responsible for the International purchase ledger
- Production of accurate payment plans and creating payment instructions for international payments
- Assist in the production of monthly reforecast information including cashflow
- Preparation of monthly sales data and analysis by Sales Manager, Region and Sector by agreed deadlines
- Ensure that all department deadlines are strictly adhered to and provide flexibility to ensure an efficient period end close process.
- Assist in the year-end audit
- Supervision and training of transactional staff
The successful Management Accountant will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:
- Qualified or late part qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA/ ACA)
- Driven and ambitious personality with a desire to make positive changes
- Thrives in an environment driven by tight schedules/deadlines
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to question and challenge current ideas and processes in a constructive way
- Ability to build strong relationships across the business with key stakeholders
- Stock experience
- Experience in manufacturing sector is desirable although not essential for this role
