Steel Operative

Taylor Blackwood Associates are recruiting a Steel Operator for our client near the Walsall area.

Duties include;
- Working on the back end of steel machining lines, e.g. Slitters
- Using grinding hand tools
- Banding up of processed steel
- Operating overhead cranes and counterbalance forklift trucks

This role is for a day shift, Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.

The total hours is 40 hours per week but there is overtime daily with a shift allowance

Rate of pay £11+, Initially this is Temp ongoing position, however after 13 weeks there is an opportunity to be taken on permanently by our client.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Aldridge, West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- MIG welding: 1 year (preferred)
- Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)
