**Import Customs Supervisor - 1200 - 2100**

Acs Recruitment are currently supporting a globally established Freight Forwarder based out of Northampton. They are looking for an individual coming from a background in people management to join their busy Customs Office and ensure the daily operationsof the Import Customs Team is streamlined.

**Duties**:

- Proactively supervise the import customs team effectively in a dynamic and challengingenvironment
- Responding to requests for customs services providing effective and efficient solutions to facilitate adherence to operational and service deadlines.
- Continually reviewing processes to strive for efficiencies without compromising the service leveland/ or quality of work administered.
- To give the team of import declarants focus and allocate daily tasks where necessary.
- Accountable for the general day to day management of the declarations assigned to the team.
- To produce, analyse and manage identified Key Performance Indicators.
- Responsible for ensuring the team meet their objectives.
- Supporting the department to resolve day to day issues and queries.
- Liaising with import supervisors from other shifts to ensure a frictionless handover and effective completion of the overall workload.
- Ensuring compliance of standard operating procedures for Customs and AEO processes
- Collaboration with internal customers to maximise synergies and promote cross team and branchinteractions and communications.
- Direct liaison with Customs authorities such as HMRC and other agencies as and when necessary.
- Staff coaching, monitoring and appraisal and the integration of team.
