We are recruiting for a Handy Person for join our residential care home in Grimsby, Cranwell Court. This is a 35 hour contract, flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carrying out general inspections, repairs and maintenance of the building.
- Keeping paperwork and the Maintenance file up to date with the accurate information.
- Undertaking in the redecoration in all areas of the home (Internal and External)
- Treat all Service Users and their families with respect and dignity and maintaining confidentiality always.
- Completing monthly and weekly checks.
- Comply with all aspects of the Health and Safety Policy, alongside the HICA policies and procedures.
- Previous experience of general repairs and maintenance.
- Basic DIY skills
- Mechanical or Electrical Qualifications
- Experience working in a care setting would be beneficial
- Ability to interact with the Service Users and their families.
- Self - motivated and takes pride in their work with an enthusiastic outlook.
