**About this role**

You will work in a team of cremation operatives providing a comprehensive range of crematoria and funeral related services, working a seven day a week and bank holiday Rota including the requirement to work staggered start and finish times by Rota, as directed by the crematorium operations manager.

You will provide day to day facilities management services including some grounds maintenance, conducting security and safety operations of the chapel, and preparing the chapel for funeral services.

The trainee will be supervised at all times.

**About you**

Able to fully utilise multi media and IT systems and operate bespoke cremation related software.

Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, funeral directors and bereaved families and be committed to the Council's customer service values

Ability to demonstrate integrity, empathy, sympathy, trust and be respectful of the deceased and bereaved at all times

Ability to work effectively in a bereavement environment and establish positive relationships with key stakeholders to establish confidence, credibility and trust.
