**What you’ll be doing as HGV Mechanic**
Joining a team of skilled HGV Mechanics, you will maintain our mixed fleet of rigid and articulated vehicles to high standards in line with DVSA and FTA requirements.

**What we’re looking for in our HGV Mechanic**:

- Large goods vehicle experience is essential and ideally, you’re qualified or semi-skilled (City & Guilds HGV Parts 1, 2 & 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent). If you don’t have those qualifications, then you must have 10 years’ experience working on HGV vehicles.

**Working hours**:
Mon-Fri 7.00am-5.00pm plus Sat morning, 7.00am-12.00am,

**Job Duties will Include**
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on HGV fleet vehicles to VOSA standards
- Carry out mandatory VOSA Inspections and MOT Preparations
- Diagnose and rectify electrical & mechanical faults
- Welding and body repairs
- Assistance in offsite HGV breakdowns
- Maintain accurate records for works carried out
- Ensure that all jobs are completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensure a safe working environment is always adhered to
- Maintain a tidy organised working environment

**Key Skills and Abilities**:

- Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair and possess City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent
- Previous experience in an HGV garage servicing own fleet vehicle
- Previous experience using computers and HGV diagnostic equipment
- Welding skills
- Work well within a small team environment
- Good organisational skills

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
