Sentinel Coordinator

**It’s time to join the UK’s biggest independent drainage specialist.**

Working under the HSQE Manager in our Rainham office, you will be responsible for ensuring that all company procedures regarding recruitment, appointment, induction, and ongoing monitoring of all personnel competence are adhered to.

**The job**:
Monitoring all expiry dates relating to track safety and competence and ensuring these are brought to the attention of the individuals involved.

Arrange the correct paperwork for company inductions for all PTS personnel before they start work and ensure that only authorised personnel carry out the inductions. Ensure that all new starters are provided with suitable PPE and that replacements are available upon request.

Arrange and book alcohol & drug testing including pre-employment and random screenings. Arrange and book pre-employment and periodic medicals where required and all subsequent training courses for existing and new employees.

Ensure that only personnel who have satisfied and fulfilled all Company pre-employment requirements are sponsored and listed on the Sentinel database.

Book re-certification courses, as appropriate. Ensuring that all employees booked on to courses are made aware of the starting time and date of their course and that they receive the appropriate course joining instructions prior to the start of the course.

Maintain a list of random drugs and alcohol (D&A) testing and results.

Remove individuals from the sponsorship list when they leave the Company and to inform the Sentinel database of any failures in D&A screenings or suspensions.

Cascade all Sentinel Safety information received from Sentinel or the appointed Health and Safety Consultant to the workforce. Ensure that all details of hours worked by the workforce are monitored and any irregularities are reported to the Infrastructure Manager. Collate and distribute pertinent information to the workforce via bulletins and ensure that all PTS personnel are informed.

Be the point of contact for the Construction Managers in the event of queries that occur at site level. Ensure that all materials and subcontracts are procured using the company’s procedures.

Ensure that a supplier subcontractor review is undertaken annual on the supplier and subcontracts as a minimum annually. Ensure that the approved supplier listing is maintained and that copies of the relevant certification is maintained and in date.

Ensure that the last copies of the management systems are made available to relevant employees and subcontractors. Undertake internal audits of the management systems to ensure compliance with company procedures and working practices.
