Trailer Mechanic/fitter

_**HGV Trailer Technician Required**_

We are a very busy haulage company situated in Heysham Lancashire; we are looking for an HGV trailer technician to join our already busy team. ideally a qualified person however we will interview someone with unqualified mechanical experience.

You will be inspecting and repairing HGV trailers

You must have access to own tools, specialist tools are supplied.

Some outdoor work is required

You must be able to work alone on Heysham Port

You do not need DCPC

Work will include:
- Maintenance services and inspections according to the manufacturer’s specifications and according to the maintenance schedule.
- Keeping precise records.
- Replacement of worn equipment.
- Responsible for repairing and servicing of trailers booked into the workshop.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on trailers.
- Stripping fitting and replacing components on trailers.
- Ensuring that all jobs are running smoothly and tight deadlines are met.
- Working under current Health & Safety legislation.
- Looking after service van.

The working hours will be Monday-Friday plus occasional callouts although these are extremely rare resulting additional pay and call out bonus.

**Salary: Good Salary. **Would depend on experience and will be discussed on interview
