**Overview of role**:
**Location: Bradford**
- The purpose of the Shift Operations Manager role is to provide Leadership and direction for the Manufacturing functions at the Brodford Site- The Site Shift Operations Manager will be responsible and accountable for managing a safe manufacturing site. A key focus of the role will be managing pro-active engineering activities, driving the Continuous Improvement culture and the development of people.**Role dimensions**:

- Reports into the Site Operations Manager
- Direct Reports (13 x Section Leaders, 3 x Front Line Managers)
- Co-ordination and management of shift engineering activities on site.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**KPI delivery**:

- **H&S**: Accident and incident rate and H&S audit scores.
- **Financial**: Control of production direct manning across all lines.
- **Operational**: OEE, plan attainment, breakdown, downtime, service, product quality & audit compliance
- **People**: Development of people, succession plans in place for Section Leaders
- **CI culture**: Development and engagement of people within the CI programme.
- To engage individuals and teams so that they fully embrace a safety-first culture.
- To not only lead but also coach individuals and teams to deliver optimum levels of quality, service and cost.
- Ensure that the training and development programme for manufacturing meets the needs of the business as well as the individual by following a structured, documented approach. (to meet Legal and Compliance requirements)
- To establish an environment where we actively encourage individuals and teams to continuously challenge all manufacturing processes to drive further improvements.
- Ensure that the products manufactured at the Bradford site are right first time, namely for quality, consistency and produced with the standard line manning
- Ensure that the operations team are aligned to support the needs of the business, through effective management of people, and create an environment where employees are motivated to deliver great performance. To engage individuals and teams so that they fully embrace a safety-first culture.

- Food Safety Level 3
- HACCP L3
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training
