**Purchasing / Buying Administrator - Job Description**
- A positive approach, personable and a team player.
- Highly organised, reliable and with attention to detail for all tasks.
- Experience working with software systems for daily administrative tasks.
- Ability to prioritise and complete own workload.
- Experience of building relationships with external suppliers and negotiation.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment advantageous.
- ERP or MRP software experience advantageous.
- Good telephone manner and customer relations skills.

The role:

- Administrating and placing component orders with established suppliers.
- Keeping track of outstanding orders and liaising with manufacturing team to manage material supply.
- Liaison with the finance department for all transactions.
- Negotiating payment and logistics terms with all existing and new suppliers.
- Continuous improvement - looking for new suppliers and better terms, lead times etc.
- 20 hrs a week.

Location: Marks Tey, Colchester, CO6 1EH

Office hours flexible between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday

Pro rata - 20 days holiday + Christmas break + statutory (FT)

Experience related, Hourly rate up to £14.50 p/hr

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £14.50 per hour
