**Residential Children’s Home Manager | Halifax | 40 hours per week | £30,000 - £40,000 per annum**
Our client works with client groups who may have experienced abuse and/or neglect that may have delayed their personal development. At times, service users will display challenging behaviours and require a flexible approach to appropriately support theirpresenting needs.
As a result, it is imperative that you are flexible in your response to situations that arise outside of this job description.
You will assume the overall responsibility for the management of a 2-bedroom therapeutic designated Children’s home.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
The following criteria are essential for this role
- 3 years’ experience working as a Senior in a Child Care setting
- Experience in management in a residential setting
- NVQ (Management -Level) 5 or equivalent would be desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent recording and reporting skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
**Your role will include, but not be limited to**
- Wholly engage with Reg 45 reviews and monitoring visits from placing local authorities
- Devise and implement individual and team learning development plans in conjunction with professional and organisational requirements
- Supervise, track progress and maintain records of staff learning and development plans
- Ensure the effective implementation of all areas of the children/young people care plans in accordance with Ofsted standards, regulations and LAC Plans
- Ensure children/young people’s medication are administered as prescribed by health practitioners and comprehensive records are kept and maintained
- Ensure that all records are properly maintained in conjunction with the requirements of data protection and human rights legislation and regulation
- Check and monitor all staff records in relation to daily tasks, housekeeping and health and hygiene
- Conduct staff disciplinary and grievance issues and address poor performance
- Ensure all administrative duties and tasks are completed according to requirements
- Take responsibility in partnership with the Director for own learning and developmental needs and ensure implementation of own Individual Development Plan
- Carry out all other duties as deemed necessary to ensure the highest standards of care at all times
