CK Group are recruiting for a Product Development Technician to join a resin and composites company at their site based in Nottingham, Derbyshire.
**Location**:
The site is accessible from Derby, Heanor, Ilkeston, Nottingham, Leicester, Chesterfield, Sheffield and Leeds
**Your duties and responsibilities will involve to**:

- Plan and organise the manufacture of composite test panels and complex geometries
- Perform trials and experiments focussed at assessing a materials process ability
- Characterise composite materials
- Collect and document information and process data to perform basic data analysis
- Work as part of a global department and in cross-functional teams
- Contribute to the continued development of HSE standard and procedures

**Your Background**:

- Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant engineering or scientific field (Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering)
- Practical experience in the processing and manufacture of composite materials
- A basic understanding of material characteristics and properties
- Some familiarity with material characterisation in the form of microscopy
