We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Ecologist to join an Ecologist specialist consultancy and expert in surveys and assessments. Our client is a professional practice, committed to the best quality service to their clients.

As a Senior Ecologist, you will have the opportunity to manage projects, prepare reports, undertake surveys and provide advice to clients to enable the company to provide an excellent level of service. Senior Ecologist’s will be expected to manage larger and more complex projects, with support from Principal Ecologists.

**Responsibilities**:

- Writing technical and accurate reports.
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders and liaising with local authorities, attending meetings and discussing requirements with new clients.
- Undertake ecological surveys for a variety of species and species groups. This will involve both undertaking surveys alone and leading survey teams
- Some workflow and business organisation.

Qualifications and Skills
- CIEEM membership;
- Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in an ecologically focussed role, preferably in ecological consultancy;
- Experienced in ecological project management;
- Experienced in ecological survey and assessment techniques;
- Knowledge of relevant UK and European legislation, policy and guidance;
- Be a team player with good verbal and written communications skills;
- Good MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills;
- A full driving licence; and
- Legal entitlement to work in the UK.
