The Pottery Box is Tonbridge’s go-to pottery painting destination for all ages It is a fun and creative ceramic painting studio located on Quarry Hill Road.

Our shop will provide you with the perfect chance to allow your creative juices to flow while gaining and building valuable retail experience. Are you hard working, motivated and have an appreciation for good customer service? Are you interested in painting and already have a creative streak? Even if you don’t we bet you’ll develop one here

We are looking for a full-time member of staff to join our retail team. We want team members that will enjoy providing an excellent customer experience, will develop a keen knowledge of our products and help guide our customers through the painting fun when they visit our store. Full training will be provided so don’t miss out on this great opportunity

**What you will do**:

- Deliver a high quality of customer service
- Responsible for glazing, sanding and the operation of our kilns (don’t worry full training is provided)
- Get involved in creating new experiences and processes for our customers and running different craft events like candle making and basket weaving
- Be part of the creative team thinking of new ideas and workshops we could offer our customers
- Attending various courses on crafts and delivering these courses to other staff and hosting events
- Meet, greet, and seat customers at The Pottery Box into their allocated booths
- Handling and resolving customer queries
- Booking customers in on to the system
- Maintaining a clean store and regularly wiping down tables and seats, ensuring they are ready for the next customers
- Ensure all painting materials are fully stocked and cleaned in between customers, along with doing regular stock checks
- Packaging orders and notifying customers when they are ready to collect
- Guiding customers through the painting process and providing design ideas
- Operate the EPOS system and handle payments
- Communicate with customers over the phone as well as face to face

**Who you will be**:

- An enthusiastic person who is comfortable working with and guiding adults as well as children
- Eager to learn and not afraid to lead in workshops and events
- Have attention to detail and be able to use your initiative
- Organised and have the ability to keep the stock room and orders neat and organised to be dispatched and delivered to customers
- Have a friendly and encouraging attitude towards fellow staff and customers
- Excellent communication skills
- Have a desire to give people a great experience every time

**What you may already have**:

- Experience providing excellent customer service
- Experience working in retail
- Experience in leading a team

Friday 6 -10 (Once a month)

Saturday 10 - 6 (30 min unpaid break)

Sunday 10 - 4.30 (30 min unpaid break)

**Pay**

£7500

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 14.5 per week

**Salary**: £7,500.00 per year
