To provide an efficient administration and clerical service to ward staff, visitors and patients Person specification Essential Previous experience of office or reception duties Excellent communication skills, particularly telephone manner Knowledge of Patient Administration System for admissions, transfers and discharges gained through in-house training and induction Knowledge of pathology and x-ray systems to access reports gained through in-house training and induction Good organisation and time management skills Good customer care skills Able to work with minimum supervision and show initiative Computer literate Understand Data Protection Act and the need for confidentiality Able to work as part of a team Qualifications Desirable ECDL Basic life support skills NVQ in Customer Care Knowledge of software packages such as word and access/excel
