**About the role**:
Here at NFU Mutual, we’re an organisation built on an ethos of ‘putting people first’, whether that’s our colleagues or customers. And nowhere is this more apparent than in our Pricing operations - a key function of growing importance.
Reporting to the Pricing Design and Deployment Manager, you’ll be responsible for the design and development of algorithms to support pricing activity and the subsequent deployment to ‘live’ production environments. You’ll be directly involved in innovative projects, where you will be setting technical direction and representing the Pricing department in programme meetings, directly influencing senior stakeholders across the business to achieve high quality technical integration with the wider programme. There will be ample scope and plenty of opportunity for you to make your mark. You’ll also work as a coach and mentor for junior members of the team and wider department.
From day one, you’ll become a valuable member of the Pricing team and a key contributor to the business, where you’ll have a voice, where you can make an impact and where you will continue to grow both personally and professionally. This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment whilst also supporting hybrid homeworking.
**About you**:
A logical and strategic thinker, you'll have strong coding skills as well as experience working within a pricing, data or IT function. You should be able to demonstrate evidence of building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships and ideally you will have been involved in delivering Pricing Transformation programmes.
With a strong background in Willis Tower Watson’s Radar product and possessing a good working knowledge of the insurance industry, you may also have worked with other programming languages such as Java,.Net or C#
A proven performer, you’ll ideally - although not necessarily - possess the following skills and attributes:
- A Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related numerical discipline
- Experience of working in Agile project environments and delivering to tight deadlines
- Ability to lead, encourage and motivate others, as well as review their work.
An excellent team player, you will have a collaborative approach and superb interpersonal skills. You will have experience of working as a technical expert in fast moving projects, with the ability to convey technical information efficiently to non-technical audiences and to influence stakeholder decisions.
