**An excellent opportunity for an Experienced Inspection Engineer to join a well-established company based in Manchester.**

**Job Title**: Inspection Engineer

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent Position

**Location**: Middleton, Manchester

**Salary**: £30,000 - £40,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

The inspection position has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Inspecting equipment, components to detect defects or flaws using engineering tools such as measuring devices or specialized software (inside/outside micrometres, vernier scales, faro arm etc.)
- Carrying out "at source" inspections on critical dimensions prior to components coming off machines.
- Examining finished products to determine if they meet specifications or will need to be repaired or replaced.
- Providing technical support to others in the company by answering questions about inspection findings.
- Preparing pre-reconditioning reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective action.
- Performing tests to determine physical properties of materials such as hardness.
- Performing NDT (non-destructive testing) tests on certain components.
- Preparing inspection reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective action.
- Carry out Shop Inspection and Audits of inspection Equipment to maintain calibration frequency of measuring equipment and entering results into calibration log.
- Prepare I.R.s (Improvement reports) for non-conforming components.
