Thorne and Wait are looking to recruit an Enterprise Data Architect for a growing, evolving brand which stay ahead of their competitors and continue to be specialists in the manufacturing world. Due to expansion in the business an opportunity has arisenFor an experienced Data Architect to join their team to support, design and improve processes in the business and will have the ability to operate lifecycles of data and give enterprise level data architecture solutions for programmes and data domains acrossthe whole business.
Applicants must be familiar with:
Translating business requirements into specifications including data streams, transformations, and data bases and data warehouses.
Able to define data framework, standards including modelling, metadata, security and reference data including product codes and master data for clients, vendor’s materials and employees.
Able to define architecture, which is a pattern other adhere to improving data systems.
Able to define data flows i.e. which parts of the business generate data, which require data to function, how data flow is managed and how data changes in transition.
Experience with collaborating and coordinating with multiple teams, stakeholders and vendors for the functionality of the enterprise data system.
Design models of data processing that implement the business model.
Create diagrams representing data entities and relationships.
Generate a list of components to build the designed system.
Able to communicate clearly, simply and effective.
Having business vocabulary which express strategic requirement’s and outlines high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements in line with the enterprise strategy and business architecture.
Understand the business and needs of the business exploring existing data structure able to create the blueprint for building an integrated framework of easily accessible, securing data in align with the business strategy.
Ideally you will have
Previous experience as a Data Architect or Solutions Architect is essential
Data Warehouse experience - designing Data Warehouse schemes (Data Vault, 3NF Model) and Data Mart Schemes (Dimensional model)
Experience integrating data from disparate sources
Experience in Agile development methodologies
Experience designing business intelligence solutions with Azure technologies
The ability to gather requirements from both IT and Business partners
Proficiency in data modelling and design, including SQL development and database administration
Understanding of predictive modelling, NLP and text analysis, Machine Learning
Ability to design solutions incorporating common data management and reporting technologies, as well as the
basics of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
Data mining, visualization, and Machine Learning skills
Effective communication, team management, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Experience and are comfortable working with autonomy and in an environment where there is constant interruptions
Understanding of multicultural and diverse working environments - across continents, religions, local working practices, beliefs
Experience in setting up architecture processes and implementing IT governance
Experience managing change to legacy architectures
What’s on offer:
My client is offering a minimum of £46,060 to £69,090 the upper salary is all down to experience. You will also be part and eligible for a bonus scheme and private health care.
