Setter

Staff365 are looking to recruit a number of Trainee Setters for our client, a well established manufacturer who are continuing to thrive through the current pandemic. They specialise in a wide range of plastic products for a number of different industries. This is a great opportunity for applicants with experience in Setting or someone with a Production/Manufacturing background wanting to train as a Setter.

**Shifts**: Nights 6pm to 6am 4 on, 4 off

**Main duties and responsibilities**:
Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently

Ensure that all required quality checks are carried out as per the company standards

Setting up machines and running the machinery, including packing where required

Adjusting machinery during its operation as required

Carry out tool and material change overs as required

Complete any applicable production paperwork and sign off sheets

Operate machinery safely and effectively, in line with the correct operating procedures

Report any machinery issues to management

Work cooperatively with the production team to meet customer requirements and team targets

Where applicable (depending on department) delegate relevant production tasks to team members such as removing scrap, fetching labels, printing works orders etc

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management

Contribute to waste management programs

Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Knowledge

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially the uPVC industry would be beneficial but not essential

Requires an understanding of the entire production process

Experience

Previous experience of working in manufacturing / uPVC / extrusion would be beneficial but not essential
